Overview
The 1962, 2 x 12” combo was called the ‘Bluesbreaker’ because
it was famously used by Eric Clapton with the influential British blues
rockers, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, in 1966. It was this heady,
‘high in the mix’ sound that made the legend of the 1962.
GZ34 valve rectification plays a pivotal role in helping to achieve that
famed output-stage compression and clean sustain, unique to both the
‘Bluesbreaker’ combo and the JTM45 head. Although tonally similar to
the JTM45, the 1962 ‘Bluesbreaker’ speakers add to its sonic
characteristics.
This ‘Bluesbreaker’ re-issiue is loaded with two reissue Celestion
Greenback 25 Watt speakers, and a footswitchable Tremolo, to recreate
that classic ’60s vibe.
